2010 Louis M. Martini

Well, it's my first "Wine Post" in years!  We bought a full case of 2010 Louis M. Martini Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. I have not had this vintage yet. We previously bought a case of 2007 and it was one of the best wine investments I have ever made. I still have 1 bottle left and the last one I tried (this spring) was very, very good.  So here's hoping 2010 works out for us! We will be saving most of these bottles for years, probably won't try any until next year anyway. We paid $11/bottle during a case sale, this is not a wine that ever really goes on a big sale- usually around $13-15 each. Which reminds me- I really need to make a custom wine rack for aging my wines. I have the tools so it's just a matter of planning it and getting it done. Anyway, check this out.
Here's the lineup. Grandma B. bought 3 of the bottles.

Notice "LMM" on the crown.

Sonoma makes good wines, and sometimes they actually surpass Napa Valley

This would be even better without my reflection

Focus kind of ended up interesting here
Don't worry, they were outside for about 3 minutes before I put them back inside the case to shield them from harmful UV rays. I am really excited for this purchase, but as far as wine goes, it helps to temper your enthusiasm- because this wine will get better with age, and drinking it all soon would be a waste. I think 2-5 years of aging would be the sweet spot.
